1. Who are you?

I'm keegan barnes
2. When did your journey begin?
-my journey as a dancer started 11 years ago.
3. What motivates you daily?
-knowing that i can always be a better dancer motivates me,so I can work harder.
4. Who is your inspiration?
-my mother is my inspiration as she has taught and mentored me from the start.
5. When and where is your next performance?
-my crews(Beatbreakerz) next performance is for a charity event called "Dancers love dogs" at the barnyard theatre in gateway on the 17th and 18th of November.
6. Do you see a future in Durban Dance Industry?
-i do think that the durban dance industry has a future and is growing but very slowly.
7. What are challenges or obstacles do you come across as a crew/performer(s),especially when performing around durban?
-the biggest obstacle i face and my crew is that durban doesn't want to pay for dancers they want it for free and if they do pay you'll probably get your money in a couple of months.
8. Why does it seems like we have less number of dancers then before in Durban?
-the amount of dancers in durban is decreasing because there are not enough opportunities or inspiration like competitions or workshops.
9. What makes Durban Dance Industry Good/Bad from other cities in SA?
-durban dance industry is worse then other places due to the lack of opportunities
10. How can we make sure that Dance/performing Art still exist and well presentable in the city of Durban?
-like i said before Durban needs inspiration and opportunities.
11. Is there anything you would like to share with us or with your supporters
-i would just like to say a big shout out to my members of my crew beatbreakerz,you'll always be my second fam!
