Miss Ballito 2015/2016 KHANYISILE ANGELINE ZONDO

1. Who are you?
-Khanyisile Angeline Zondo, 20 years of age and was born and raised in Tongaat. I am a 3rd year medical student, 3rd year CAPRISA research placement, Mangwanani KZN ambassador, Miss Ballito 2015-2016, a model, dancer and motivational speaker.

2. When did your journey begin?
-It began in 2013 towards the end of the year when I entered my very first pageant (Miss Medical School) and that's when I realized how much love I had for Modelling and decided to continue with it from that day on.

3. What motivates you daily?
-The desire to reach out, make a difference, leave a mark and help as many people reach their goals/fulfill their dreams as possible.

4. Who is your inspiration?
-Nompumelelo Nkosi. She is phenomenal, humble, loving, kind, goal driven, successful and beautiful, she is the current Miss vibe fm, miss casablanca and former miss ukzn.

5. When and where is your next Show/performance?
-I will be hosting a show in Tongaat on the 26th of November 2015.

6. Do you see a future in Durban when comes to modeling?
-Yes. Durban is a place to create opportunities for yourself, this is the place to go big when it comes to modeling because there isn't much going on in that industry. So it all about finding the gaps and filling them and getting yourself recognized world wide.

7. What are challenges or obstacles do you come across as an artist, especially in durban?
-My height is my greatest obstacle because when they scout models they look for a specific height and I'm mostly left out because I don't meet that requirement. But it's also a blessing because it encourages me to work even harder towards making my dreams come true and I get to learn a lot in the process aswell.

8. Why does it seems like we have less number of models in Durban?
-We actually have many it just that most models in Durban mostly do photo shoots and that's it for them and maybe music videos.

9. What makes Durban modeling Industry Good/Bad from other cities in SA?
-The lack of knowledge and this unfortunately limits them. They also do not have that much exposure, they don't network with the right people.

10. How can we make sure that modeling still exist and well presentable in the city of Durban?
-By teaching people about this industry. Knowledge is key

11. Is there anything you would like to share with us or with your supporters
-To anyone reading this, I would like to say that if you have a dream go out and work towards it. Nothing is impossible and the only thing standing in your way is you. Change your mind set, Think positively and go out there to show the world what you've got.
