Lil wayne Talks "Trukfit" The Appeal Of His Clothing Brand

Lil Wayne Talks “Trukfit” The Appeal Of His Clothing Brand November 26th, 2012 at 9:19 PM Anyone that follows Lil Wayne can see how skateboarding has become a huge passion of his. In an interview with MTV, he explains what the appeal of his skateboarding brand, Turkfit is. “I think because it’s not trendy and it’s not what’s the norm,” explained Wayne. “People are tired of everything just being ‘what’s cool.’ Everybody’s wearing such and such, everybody’s doing such and such, and I don’t believe that’s what Trukfit is. Trukfit is just a bunch of little characters on a shirt, a bunch of sayings and stuff.” Lil Wayne also explained what is role was with the brand. “My designer sends [drafts] over to me in an email and I decline or approve, it’s that simple,” he said. “And the kids are enjoying it. And not only the kids, I have pro athletes hitting me up , sending me their addresses, like, ‘I need a box of that sent to me every month’ or ‘I’mma wear that to my press conference’ or ‘I’m gonna wear that when I sign my deal’ — so it’s really moving.” Wezzy then explained the brand’s name: “There was a truck that would come around the neighborhood for the less-fortunate people that can’t go to those stores, and he would have those same items…for less.” “If you were known to have that outfit, then it was not called an ‘outfit,’ it was called a ‘truckfit.’”

Drake and Chris Brown Off The Hook Over Club Brawl

Drake And Chris Brown
Off The Hook Over Club
Brawl
24 November
2012
Chris Brown and Drake are both off
the hook over an apparent fight
between their entourages at a New
York City night club back in the
summer.
The WIP club in Manhattan was the
scene for the clash between the two
rappers' friends on 14 June this
year, which was rumoured to have
been started by a disagreement
over Breezy's ex-GF Rihanna.
Brown posted pictures of his cut and
bruised face on the web afterwards.
But now US gossip site TMZ reports
that the authorities will not be
bringing charges against either of
the stars because of a lack of
evidence.
A rep for Drake told TMZ: "Drake
was never even a suspect so it's no
surprise."

Nick Minaj Says Big-Box Stores Are Refusing To Stock 'THE RE-UP' Album

NICKI MINAJ SAYS BIG-BOX STORES
ARE REFUSING TO STOCK ‘THE RE-
UP’ ALBUM
by Trent Fitzgerald Yesterday
The holiday shopping season is
underway and shoppers are hitting the
big-box stores to grab the best deals
they can find. However, music fans
looking to buy discounted albums are
having a hard time finding Nicki Minaj‘s
‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded — The
Re-Up’ at some retailers. What’s up
with that?
When the Queen Barbz stopped by
Power 105.1 recently, she explained
why her album is not available at the
big-box stores. “It’s hard to get the
album because the stores basically said
that the last few re-releases they had
put out did not do well and they didn’t
want to take a chance,” said Minaj. “So
Target and Walmart [are] not selling
the album. And Target is actually my
biggest retailer. They’ve sold the most
Nicki Minaj albums ever; thank you
Target, but I wish you could have sold
this one … it kind of sets you up to
fail.”
We are totally shocked by this news.
Minaj is arguably the biggest-selling
female rapper in the game right now.
‘The Re-Up’ has garnered positive
reviews and the Barbz were hankering
to cop the re-release. Here’s hoping
that her digital sales trump the retail
sales.
Minaj is not letting that bit of bad news
ruin her enthusiasm for the album. The
‘Freedom’ rapper is happy that the
Barbz were able to have some new
music that she proud of.
“At the end of the day I’m happy that I
was able to put the music out,” she
says. “The real reason for me to put out
‘The Re-Up’ is because I wanted to
have a bridge between this time and
the third album. I wanted people to
have music that I really stand by.”

Lil Wayne Sees Retirement After The Carter V

Lil Wayne Sees Retirement After
The Carter V
November 22nd, 2012 at 9:33 PM
Look him in his face, and he may not
have worries, but Lil Wayne is still
realistic. He knows that there comes a
time where every rapper has to put the
mic up and call it quits. He believes his
time is after The Carter V.
We already mentioned I Am Not a
Human Being II is dropping February
2013, but looks like there may be just
one more LP after that and Weezy is
retiring. In his interview with MTV,
Weezy admitted that while his 10 year
career in the rap game has been
nothing short of amazing, he’s found a
love for other things outside of music.
“I’ve been rapping since I was 8
years old; I’m 30 now. That’s a long
time, and I like to do so many more
things, and when I like to do
something, I end up loving to do it
real quick. And I love to do
something, I’m fully focused on it
and it only, and music sometimes is
not that ‘it.’”
Obviously, there’s other rappers out
there more than 10 years his senior,
and still making moves. However, that
doesn’t seem to be in the cards for Lil
Wayne.
