2. When did your journey begin? - My entire journey started when I was 6 years of age, I started dancing what was called "Robot Dancing" back in those days but of course the proper term for it is "Popping"
3. What motivates you daily? -It has to be the people that wake up everyday to go hustle and grind legally just to put food on the table.
4. Who is your inspiration? -I'm inspired by a lot of people, people who believe in what they love, people who create art just to get messages across, I'm also inspired by nature and circumstances around me.
5. When and where is your next performance? -Siwela Sonke Dance Theatre is going to be performing Rite in Cape Town in November, more details are yet to follow, otherwise I do get small gigs here and there.
6. Do you see a future in Durban Dance Industry? -I must say that Durban dance scene is slowly but surely picking up, I think dancers are starting to respect and understand each other better now and we do see a lot of dancers with different dance styles working together to create works of art.
7. What are challenges or obstacles do you come across as a crew/performer(s),especially when performing around durban? - It is got to be resources to actually push dancers to be exposed or recognized by other dancers in other cities but I'm hoping that we'll find a solution or a way to work around that so we can all come together in SA and work as one.
8. Why does it seems like we have less number of dancers then before in Durban? -I think we have a lot of dancers in Durban, its just that some of them need platforms for them to be discovered.
9. What makes Durban Dance Industry Good/Bad from other cities in SA? -All I can say is that the Durban scene is very unique in so many level.
10. How can we make sure that Dance/performing Art still exist and well presentable in the city of Durban? -The more people we have that believe that dance or performing art is more than just a hobby but a career, the more art with grow in our city. Just believe that your dancing is going to put food on the table.
