DAYBREAK-SAINTS,"LET EM PRAY''












1. Who are you?
-Aaahhh we DBS (daybreak saints) a crew from waterloo. Some rockstar youngins

2. When did your journey begin?
-It actually started in 2008 we were part of a big organization called inyanda yobciko (an art company) and we were actually a big group on our first performance we had 30+- members on stage, it was exciting.

3. What motivates you daily?
-Its the love its the Passion we have for the art, its the ambition you know, its the lifestyle.

4. Who is your inspiration?
-our inspiration is mostly international crews and individuals, Its amazing how much they have done with the art, the interpretation.

5. When and where is your next performance?
-There's actually a lot goin on we building a brand, we commicially launching a new artist. We going to be working with a videography company (anti conformity productions) providing entertainment..do come out to meet the whole team @ blue lagoon on the 31st of October @the rockstar chillas, we building man .we building


6. Do you see a future in Durban Dance Industry?
-Lol honestly things are not looking good .there's no support ,no shows and no sportsmanship every one is trying to make it on their own, most people have gone out of Durban to make it.

7. What are challenges or obstacles do you come across as a crew/performer(s),especially when performing around durban?
-There's no gigs no shows, if promoters are not trying to get you to perform for free, you being under paid. We in an era were dance is not really seen as a profession.

8. Why does it seems like we have less number of dancers then before in Durban?
-Its because of the reality, people have responsibilities, the Dance scene in Durban is not promising. It wont pay your bills.

9. What makes Durban Dance Industry Good/Bad from other cities in SA?
-when it comes to dance we not recognized. We not given a chance, which affects the growth, but there's still a chance heyy. after all we are the city that doesn't sleep haha.

10. How can we make sure that Dance/performing Art still exist and well presentable in the city of Durban?
-to make sure that Dance/performing Art still exist and well presentable in Durban. we need to create opportunity's for our selves, waiting for other people to do so will only slow us down, let's start building.


11. Is there anything you would like to share with us or with your supporters
-We all tried working hard and it didn't work as we expected .let's start working smart. lets bend the rules n exceed the limit's. lets start building. #toeasy
